Borrowed Time is an indie comedy showcase hosted by an area stand-up comedian and featuring two improv groups that re not produced by Crossroads. There’s a lot of great comedy to be seen in Philly and this is a chance to see some stuff you might not otherwise get to see. This night features Hoffman and NYTEShift with stand-up from Jake Mattera!
All attendees should be fully vaccinated and prepared to show their vaccination card. An N95, KN95 or surgical mask will be required while in the building. If you do not have one a disposable surgical mask will be provided. All performers are fully vaccinated - including booster shots - and will be performing without a mask at least 10 feet from the closest audience members. All front facing staff are fully vaccinated - including booster shots - and will be masked. These measures could change based on the guidelines of the CDC and the City of Philadelphia.
JAKE MATTERA: Jake Mattera was a finalist at the Boston Comedy Festival and he is a 3x finalist at Helium Comedy’s Philly’s Phunniest competition. HOFFMAN: Hoffman is a veteran Phit improv team with a penchant for playing big characters and sharing yarns both truthful and delightfully absurd. The cast includes Kayleigh Liggitt, Andrew Sigwart, Whitney Rumble, Jacob Todd, Peter Szekeres, and Sean Keegan-Landis – improvisers who have been getting weird with each other for more than half a decade. So they’re pretty comfortable making each other look silly, dumb, and pleasantly outlandish for your enjoyment.
NYTEShift: This dope-ass comedy troupe comprised of multi-talented racial minorities takes to the stage for their first show since the before times. Straight up “haha’s” for days. Just a few Americans trying to express ourselves. Features Keane Cobb, Kelly Conrad, Jabari Dortch, Marcely Jean-Pierre, Tia Kemp, James Knight, and Randie Welles.
